We need to protect our children and unfortunately there is always someone waiting in the wings to take advantage of a broken family, in their most vulnerable state, and by that I mean the lawyers who keep showing up in court; as we wait on pins and needles to see if our boy/girl will be locked up.
It was my unfortunate experience to go through several lawyers who just took my money and could not or would not help my child. They asked for ridiculous retainers and my child was just a Case # and a $ sign to them.
I am speaking to the parents of anyone who has a family member who is in trouble. By the grace of God, I found a man, an attorney who I chose to put my child's life in his hands and he saved his life. I had just about given up and was hopeless. I will forever be thankful to Mr. Stephen G. McCarthy for doing everything possible and not leaving any stone unturned in order to help my child.
Please do not fall victim to these ambulance chasers... I am hearing more and more about how families are being taken advantage of. I can speak from personal experience, and I am posting this on my FB page, (not that I need my business out there) but I feel the pain of these parents... I have been in your shoes. So I will put myself out there to help. Mr. Stephen G. McCarthy is a man that I trust with my life and those of my loved ones.

I want to let you know what a pleasure it was that you represented me in my recent New York County court matter. Your demeanor, expertise and empathy is exemplary. Words fail to express my gratitude.

God brought us to you and after our first meeting, I told my husband “regardless of the outcome I know, after speaking with Stephen that we are in the right place and he is our man.” I don’t know if it is possible to explain the sense of peace you were able to give our family, Your disposition, work ethic, honesty, knowledge, persistence, bedside manner and legal strategies are all the qualities you posses that make you an excellent attorney and different from the rest.
We have dealt with many attorneys in the past that simply wanted to take advantage of a family, in their most vulnerable state; people that did not look at my daughter as a human being, but just as another case.
You took a family in despair and gave us hope. After leaving your office that day, I finally had a good night's sleep for the first time in six months. Your confidence spilled over to us and somehow we began to feel our daughter was safe and protected with you in charge. You are now a parent, the father of a beautiful baby boy and will understand better where I am coming from. To put the life of your child in someone else’s hands is the most difficult thing you will ever do. We were blessed to have you on the receiving end.
As my daughter now has the freedom to continue on with her life and her dreams, I will always be grateful to you for fighting for her. Thanks to you she will have a life in which she can someday make a difference in this world.

The job you did was outstanding but just as important was the confidence you gave us from day one when we first me in your office. I can't hope to match your eloquence in writing, but I exceed your enthusiasm for a successful dismissal of the charges against Bill and Joe. What a weight has been lifted from our shoulders! You can imagine that we read the 5 year plans with great interest! You communicated with us clearly and professionally, yet you did a bit of hand holding as well which put our minds more at ease.
